We made it!

Jim and I love the beach and have been planning for some time to come to one of our favorite beaches for our 42nd wedding anniversary.  We almost didn't get to come due to him being sick.  But just days before we were to leave he recovered and we were so excited that this trip did not have to be cancelled.  We drove all day Sat. It took almost 11 hours to get here and we were so happy we arrived before sunset.  As soon as we got our suitcases in the condo we hurried out the door to the beach.  I am so glad I caught this picture of Jim rejoicing over being at the beach!
"We made it!" He shouts!
Today as I was thinking about us being here, the beauty of this beach and how excited we were when we finally arrived, I thought about heaven.  What is it going to be like when we finally get there? Will we run to Jesus with arms stretched wide open?  Will we have a huge smile because we are with the One we love?  I picture my entrance in that way.  I see me running and hugging Jesus! As I look over his shoulder I see all my loved ones waiting for me.  The first one I 'see' is my sweet daughter Amy who has been with the Lord for almost 13 yr. and then all my much loved family and friends!
I think I just might want to shout "I made it!"

First, I LOVE this picture of Dad! It says it all!!!! I actually think I want the original of this one to frame it. I know how excited he gets when he just smells the salt water close by!

Secondly, I LOVE what you wrote! What a perfect picture of what heaven will be like.

I love you so much and am so thankful your my mother. I am so thankful you raised me in a godly home and were such an awesome example to me of what a Christian wife and mother looks like. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!

Happy Mother's Day!

Beautiful, Elaine!

When I saw the video about the "Heaven is for Real" boy, I thought of Amy. I think of her often and the wonderful impact she had on so many. Such a precious jewel! (As is Stacy! :-))

Hope you and Jim have a really special time at the beach. You both so deserve it! Love and blessings to you! -- Gayle Watkins
