We've all been there. I know I have opened my mouth and said something I later regretted. Those times are so hard to get over. I am featuring my daughter, Stacy's, blog today (see link below). She tells how she received help after she saying something wished she had not said. You won't want to miss this. Leave her a comment and let her know how this helped you!

Elaine,
I know that it is not by coincidence that you commented on my blog today and I visited yours. I went to your daughter's blog and found exactly what I needed to hear from the Lord today. I have been living with a conversation for a few weeks that I can't get out of my mind and it paralyzes me at times. Though I was the recipient, I wish I had spoken up, in love, for myself. For some reason, I am not able to leave comments on your daughters blog so please let her know that she, through the power of the Holy Spirit, touched me profoundly today. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Mom - Thank you for posting this. :)
Renee - Thank you so much for your comment. I am so glad that it spoke to you right where you are. I know that the Lord really put this on my heart to write for today. Thank you for taking the time to give me your feedback.
That last comment was from Stacy ... not sure why it showed up as "anonymous" ...
Elaine,
Thank you for pointing us to your daughter's post. I had to hunt for it, but am so thankful that I did. I have felt that 'sick feeling' so many times and have spent many sleepless nights over something I may have said. So many times I have gone back to that person to apologize only to make matters worse...especially if they weren't even offended and now wondered if they should have been. What a cycle! But I love that reminder of your daughter's about the Holy Spirit's role in our lives. Next time I hope God will prompt me to remember this and get off that cycle that I tend to start spinning on!
Blessings to you! And your precious daughter!
