Colette has been trying really hard to not suck her thumb. Her reward was to be an American Girl doll. She was so excited the day she told me she had stopped and would be getting the doll. Her mom surprised her yesterday!

How sweet is that!!!!! I don't remember if I sucked my thumb, but my brother did --- with a "snuffy" -- a little plaid blanket that went with him everywhere he went. We all wondered, but one day he lost the snuffy, and when he did, he also quit the thumb sucking. Amazing!
What a well-deserved surprise, Colette! I am proud for you! Keep up the good work.
Your friend, (but I have not seen you in a long time),
Mrs. Phyllis
